So I got my ears peirced twice about 5weeks ago now. When it was finally 4weeks I was anxious to change the gold hoops that were used to peirce my ears into these white gold balls that my mom bought me. So I did but the backs were a little short. I wore them the rest of the day and put in a pair of gold earrings with longer backs that night.
So the next morning I put in some plain Sterling Silver that I got from Claire’s. Normally I cannot have Sterling Silver because I have sensitive ears but they worked just fine in my first holes. When I took them out that night though they were red and a little painful so I put in my gold earrings and made sure I thoroughly cleaned them.
Then the next day I put in my white gold balls again and when I had my mom clean them that night (I was planning on sleeping in them) one of them was bleeding so my mom had me remove it and put in the hoops I was peirced with. So I have had those in for about a week now.
Do you think they are ok now? 2BCon
Yesterday when I cleaned them they had a bit of gunk around one of them (the right one) but today they were fine.
I forgot to add that after the one bled my mom had to force both earrings through the holes because they wouldn’t go on their own.
Should they be ok?
It seems as though your ears have become infected since they’re bleeding and red. I would keep the hoops in for the rest of summer vacation just to be safe so they’ll be ready for something cute when school starts. You don’t want to have infected ears for back to school! In the meantime, keep them super clean with solution.
Also consider buying your earrings at nicer places than Claire’s, such as Macy’s or other department stores. Claire’s has some cute stuff, but it’s also really cheaply made.

I really like the silvery color but I’m allergic to nickel in white gold. When I say domed I mean the kinds that are curved on the outside and flat on the inside part of the earring. Someone please help me, I really love this style of earring and my allergy makes it so hard to find cute earrings.
I tried searching froogle for you but didn’t have much luck. The earrings you’re looking for are very specific. The only advice I can give you is to find the style earring you like, even if it’s not nickel free, and coat it in a hypoallergenic coating. It comes in a nail polish bottle and I bought some on artbeads.com. Good luck!

i want to buy a pair of really nice white gold diamond hoop earrings. i want them big or medium, not oversized. mybudget is $200 and i found some really nice ones at Zales but i want more options. and i don’t like the super thin earrins that you barely see, or the diamond hoops with only the diamonds on the front half of the earring. and no dangly hoops. they need to be hinged. please and thank you. if you dont get best answer but widened m horizon i’ll thumbs you up. and i live in new yorl so don’t giv me a georgia boutique or something. looking for chain stores. like macys or kay! or an internet store like bluenile. =}
